Believe God (Part 5) Love that Saves

God sent Jesus to rescue the world from sin that separates us from Him.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Jesus wants us to believe that He is God’s Son. While He was on earth, He did miracles that people saw and experienced to help us believe Him.

John 20:30-31(NCV)
Jesus did many other miracles in the presence of his followers that are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Then, by believing, you may have life through his name.

The greatest miracle Jesus Christ did was to take the punishment for our sin.

1 John 2:12 (NCV)
I write to you, dear children, because your sins are forgiven through Christ.
Acts 4:12 (NCV)
Jesus is the only One who can save people. No one else in the world is able to save us.

We can be forgiven by believing that Jesus is God’s Son who paid the price God required for sin.

1 John 1:9 (NCV)
But if we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what is right. He will cleanse us from all the wrongs we have done.

When we ask Jesus to cleanse us from the wrongs we have done and make us right with God, we have new spiritual life within us.

Romans 10:9-10 (NCV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved.10 We believe with our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we declare with our mouths that we believe, and so we are saved.

As we believe and confess, our relationship with God begins. Jesus leads us to hope, joy, peace, and purpose as we turn to God, praise, and trust Him.

Have you taken these steps of believing God and receiving His new life in Christ?

If not, talk to Jesus, the Holy Son of God, ask Him to forgive you. Thank Him for paying the price for you. He is faithful to hear your prayer and give you hope and life eternal. Tell someone about your new relationship with God. Share your excitement with your family and friends. Scripture tells us that heaven is rejoicing over your new spiritual life in Jesus Christ right now (Luke 15:7).

We would love to hear your experience of new life in Jesus too. All praise to God, who loves us beyond what we can imagine! Let us know the great and awesome things God is doing as you begin relationship with Him.
