Acknowledge God (Part 4) Prayer and Praise

When we encounter a friend or acquaintance, we acknowledge their presence by greeting them. Our brain recognizes a familiar face, matches the face with past experience and sends the message to connect. We realize that communication is necessary to build relationship. Growth in a relationship occurs as we intentionally seek time together and find true delight in the presence of a friend.

We acknowledge relationship with God when we communicate with Him through prayer and praise. Whatever our circumstances, we can acknowledge God’s power by praying and praising Him.

James 5:13
Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always,17 pray continually,18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Have you ever wondered what God’s will is for your life? Here it is clear and concise. As we acknowledge God’s word to us, we pray and praise, rejoice and give thanks in all circumstances.

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

Growing in relationship begins with acknowledgement. Prayer and praise allow us to express our recognition and gratitude for God’s power and purpose over all circumstances.
